Great list, Emmelie Brownlee. Women really do a remarkable job in the sustainability field. Maybe it is in women’s nature to have bigger interest in the topics of social and environmental issues, as Amanda Sturgeon experienced in her work.
We would like to add her to the list, she is our inspiration. Amanda is the CEO of the International Living Future Institute, an NGO that advocates for more sustainability in architecture, design, construction and building on a global scale. She was elected as a LEED (Leadership in energy and Environmental Design) Fellow in 2013, and in 2015, she received the Women in Sustainability Leadership Award, making her one of the top ten most powerful women in sustainability.
But let her speak for herself. We had an honor to talk with her, while she was judging the REGENERATION contest for young professionals under 35 years, a design competition based on the Living Building Challenge Protocol and we can say, her optimism and dedication to sustainability is truly inspiring.
